Apple iWatch Release Date

It seems to me that the iWatch is oftentimes a more highly-anticipated device than the next iPhone is, but that’s quite understandable. After all, the iPhone has a pretty big history behind it, and the same can be said for the iPad. The iWatch, however, would be Apple’s first smartwatch and gadget enthusiasts across the world are quite eager to see if Apple still has the ability to approach a completely new market segment with success.

The biggest question mark hanging above the iWatch though, has to do with the gadget’s release date.

iWatch Release Date – By September?

Alright ladies and gents, we’re aware that, as yet it’s been quite difficult to determine when the iWatch will go on sale, but let’s gather arround the latest bits of information regarding the matter, piece it all together and try to come up with a reasonable release date time-frame. Not long ago it’s been rumored that the iWatch was in its prototype stages of development, thus the gadget’s release would be miles away.

But, newer reports have indicated Apple and LG have now teamed up in order to create the flexible screens needed for the 9 million iWatch units expected to be sold by the end of 2014. The same report claims that Apple wants to release the iWatch by September. Earlier this year, LG has confirmed that it will ramp up the production of flexible screens for wearables, in order to meet the high demand coming from various clients.

It all makes a certain amount of sense, and if these reports are correct, then they might also further strengthen the idea that the iWatch release date is scheduled sometime before September. After all, you can’t hit the 9 million mark by launching a device too close to the end of the year.

All that being said, right now we’re rooting for a “by September” launch of the iWatch, and the evidence so far supports our hopes. However, many things can change in the meantime, and we can’t be certain of anything until it’s officially confirmed. Stick around and we’ll keep you posted.
