So big is the iPhone 8 compared to the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy S8

Do these devices still fit into regular hosiery bags? IDropnews has created several graphics with the real sizes of the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8 as well as the presumed dimensions of the iPhone 8 and thus clearly shows how the different devices perform in terms of their handiness.

In the iDropnews renderings, an "iPhone 8" with edge-to-edge display is shown, which is by its measure between the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus of Apple. The new model is not to be bigger than the iPhone 7 Plus - it only uses the interface better. The new iPhone 8 is expected to be 144mm x 71mm x 7.7mm, at least iDropnews thinks according to the previously released information to be able to guess. The iPhone 7 is 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm in size.

In a further size comparison, the 5.8 inch OLED iPhone is seen between the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus from Samsung. Samsung devices measure 148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm and 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm respectively.

Conclusion: Apple's redesigned iPhone 8 is supposed to be slightly thicker than the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 but not as thick as the Galaxy S8.

Last week, the rumor turned around that Apple has managed to incorporate the touch-ID fingerprint sensor into the OLED display of the iPhone 8. The S8 from Samsung is the fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone.

In addition to the iPhone 8, the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus are expected to hit the market this fall.
